Do you have interest in keeping Honey Bees in your backyard or business during the spring & summer, though, perhaps you’re overwhelmed with the idea of managing them on your own? Well, if you reside in the Langley, Aldergrove, or Abbotsford area we can offer help through our Host-A-Hive program!
Our Host-A-Hive program offers you the joyful and practical benefits of keeping honey bees in your backyard without requiring the knowledge or skill needed to maintain a healthy beehive (aka… we get stung so you don't have to!).
What are the benefits?
1. Pollination services
For your garden, small farm, or fruiting plants you can expect an increase in quality & quantity
2. Honey of the highest quality
You'll receive a years honey crop of 30 lbs/ hive harvested from all the nectar in your immediate surroundings (especially great if you have seasonal allergies!)
3. Peaceful ambience
The 'buzz' emitted from a beehive has real effects on calming the body & mind.
Price breakdown (2024)
Residential clients- $800.00/ hive (*min. of 2 colonies). We can offer group discounts if your neighbour(s) are interested too.
Corporate clients- please contact us to arrange a meeting to discuss your particular needs.
* multiple colonies are essential for supporting one another, i.e. in the case of a queen issue or loss of bees
We retain ownership of the bees and equipment, however, if you wish to go solo at some point we can help to facilitate that transition.
